This study proposes a model to analyze the competitiveness of Brazilian municipalities. The research was conducted in two stages: (i) a bibliometric review, covering the period from 2000 to 2014, to identify the variables adopted in the worldwide literature analyzing factors of municipal competitiveness and regional development; and (ii) a study on which of these factors are available, in a structured form, from official sources in Brazil, in order to collect secondary data and observe the situation at the municipal level. As a result, from the 88 indicators identified in the literature, 64 were available in different data bases in Brazil. The theoretical construct derived from this review is the conceptual basis for the proposed model and consists of six formative analytical dimensions: science and technology, economics, demography, infrastructure, education and health.

The present study is a bibliometric analysis of publications on interventions based on third generation therapies in children and adolescents during the years 2011-2016. For this, a descriptive study was carried out in which 60 scientific articles from diverse databases were analyzed, such as Proquest, Redalyc, Sage, ScienceDirect and Springer Science, Dialnet, Ebsco Host. It was evidenced that between the years 2012 and 2014 there was an increase in the publications of third generation therapies in Ibero-America and Europe. The International Journal of Behavioral Consultation & Therapy presents the largest number of publications in this field. In relation to the author who presents the most publications, reference is made to Swart, J as the principal. The theoretical review and the quasi-experimental study were the most reported methodology and Mindfulness the most used therapy. As for the country with the largest number of investigations in this area is the United States. This study allows us to conclude that third generation therapies have begun to gain strength in several behavioral and emotional problems in children and adolescents. However, it is necessary to expand the research in this field since in most articles the degree of efficacy is not quantified.

This paper characterizes the state of the art in the area of reverse logistics by analyzing publications in the ScienceDirect and Web of Science (WOS) databases through bibliometric and systematic analysis. From a sample of 462 papers, leading journals, authors, research institutions and countries, as well as research partnerships were identified. It was noted that publications on the subject have steadily increased over the years, with the United States having the largest number of publications and partnerships. Brazilian researchers should seek partnerships with foreign institutions, since they have demonstrated the potential to enrich discussions and foster quality publications. This paper identified the main studies in this area, as well as the gaps that could guide future researches.

This paper presents a bibliometric and systemic analysis of product development, digital manufacturing, and product manufacturing information. The ProKnow-C (Knowledge Development Process – Constructivist) method was used to achieve the aim of this study, for it allows researchers to acquire knowledge and detect relevant studies that can support the theoretical foundation of scientific research. After selection, a collection of relevant papers was subjected to quantitative analysis for identifying the most important authors, journals, and keywords. Thereafter, a systemic analysis was accomplished in order to verify the content of articles in a bibliographic portfolio and identify opportunities, trends, and research gaps. Finally, the main research opportunities in the proposed area of interest of were recognized and hereby presented.

The aim of this study is to explore the scaling relationship between degree centrality and citation-based performance of countries articles on Strategic Management. The results show a scaling relationship between Impact and degree centrality with scaling exponent of 1,28 +/- 0,07. This result suggests that the Impact of a countries’ articles on strategic management increases non-linearly with degree centrality 2(1,28) o 2,42 times when the country doubles its degree centrality. The results suggest that the increase of the participation of countries in international collaborative networks on strategic management research is a positive strategy to foster the international visibility and impact on strategic management research.

This paper analyzes the research studies on social entrepreneurship (SE) and maps out the study axes on this subject. A bibliometric method was used in order to analyze 296 scientific papers available in Scopus database, which were published between 1988 and 2016. The study made it possible to verify the evolution of the study of SE throughout the time, authorship and co-authoring, as well as retrieval of similar words. The results yielded four research categories: SE studies, society, education and housing policies. An exploratory factor analysis resulted in six factors that map the study fields in ES. The research study revealed the difficulty to define the notion of SE, the motivations of social entrepreneurs, as well as their traits and competences.

Objective: to analyze the international scientific production on Zika virus and pregnancy. Methods: a bibliometric survey was carried out in the ISI Web of Knowledge/Web of Science database, using the search terms “Pregnancy”, “ZikV” and “Bibliometrics”, from the export of this data to the HistCite (TM) bibliometric analysis software. Results: 355 publication records were identified and the 11 most cited articles were selected in the Web of Science (global) and those most cited in the selected articles (local) in 207 different journals indexed to the database in question, written by 2,435 authors who had links with 799 institutions, located in 59 countries. Conclusion: obscure aspects remain about the natural history of Zika virus in pregnant women, clinical profile, epidemiology, and lack clarity about the existence of cofactors associated with infection by Zika virus.

In this paper, we develop a review of the research focused on the teaching and learning of ordinary differential equations with the following three purposes: to get an overview of the existing literature of the topic, to contribute to the integration of the actual knowledge, and to define some possible challenges and perspectives for the further research in the topic. The methodology we followed is a combination of a systematic literature review and a bibliometric analysis. The contributions of the paper are given by the following: shed light on the latest research in this area, present a characterization of the actual research lines regarding the teaching and learning of ordinary differential equations, present some topics to be addressed in the next years and define a starting point for researchers who are interested in developing research in this field.

Objective: To analyze the frequency of words correlating with the title and summary of scientific production on people’s vulnerability to HIV under the Zipf Law. Methods: descriptive study, bibliometric analysis. The search took place in the SCOPUS database (Elsivier) using the descriptors HIV and vulnerability. The Boolean and operator was used. Inclusion criteria: articles available in full, free of charge, without language restriction and between 1983 and 2020. Results: tag clouds made it possible to clearly identify the correlation between all text segments through the frequency of the words’ HIV’, ‘vulnerability ‘with the female sex. Conclusion: Zipf’s theory enabled a more modern view, for nursing, corroborating the analysis of structures of written language derived from texts. In this sense, it can be inferred that, in general, the abstracts revealed fundamental aspects for a broad understanding of the theme.

This research consists of a review of issues considered most important in the development and evolution of the information display in the representation of scientific domains. It aims to distinguish the most appropriate techniques to display domains, but in this case, no Scientific Information (articles) but of Information Technology (patents). This research compiled theories, trends and relevant contributions on information visualization, especially concerning bibliometric analysis and display some significant insights into the main visualization techniques used for analysis, mainly technological and scientific domains. This allows conclusions to attend the selection of the most appropriate techniques to display the technological production of different domains, taking as an added value an inventory of the main display most relevant domains in the field of information science and technology trends.
