Emotions are considered a fundamental aspect of sport scenarios, and within sports, consumer behavior is a very popular area of research in the sport management field. Thus, in recent years, there has been a growing interest for sport managers regarding the role that emotions play in sport consumer behavior. Thus, the aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the academic research on emotions in the sport management field using two techniques: a bibliometric performance analysis and a graphic mapping of the references in this field. This analysis focuses on authors, journals, papers, institutions and countries. Bibliometric indicators including the h-index measure, productivity and the number of citations were used to perform the performance analysis. Then, VOSviewer software was used to perform co-citation, bibliographic coupling and co-occurrence of keyword analysis (mapping analysis). The results of both types of analysis are consistent, with the United States being the most influential country in emotions in sport management research because the main authors and institutions in this research field belong to this country. The overall results indicate that the literature on this research topic has grown significantly in recent years in all scientific disciplines; however, the research topic is incipient, and therefore, the number of articles is still limited. Thus, this research presents the key aspects in the topic of emotions in sport management that could be helpful for researchers and policy makers in the field of sport management to make future decisions.

Territorial governance has been given different definitions across the academic spectrum; however, it is considered a unit of analysis, an essential subject of study for f regional economic development strategies. Not in vain has it become a field of interest for social scientists in the last few years. The purpose of this research is to analyze the body of literature developed around territorial governance, identifying its growth over time, the countries more academically interest in it, the most relevant authors, fundamental characteristics of territorial governance as described per cluster, recurring terms, and future research lines. To meet this study’s objective, we applied a bibliometric analysis to the literature, for which 276 documents retrieved from the Web of Science were examined. The results suggest that the field of territorial governance has grown during the last six years, and Brazil, a Latin American country, is among the five regions with the highest production on the subject. It is observed that the topics of most significant interest have revolved around how territorial governance is related to the development of the territory and territorial policy. Future research should be aimed at integrating water resources management and land use planning in order to promote a sustainable territorial future, i.e., territorial sustainability.

There are few studies applying extensive qualitative and quantitative methods for addressing the research into Business Portfolio Restructuring (BPR). The aim of this paper is to identify the main authors, journals and studies that have informed the intellectual platform underpinning BPR as well as identifying the topics that have had the greatest impact. In this study, bibliographic references cited between 1959 and 2012, are analyzed using different bibliometric techniques. Three main results are found: first, the intellectual basis for this field involves a multidisciplinary and multifaceted literature, although the disciplines of finance and management are the principal contributors to research into BPR. Second, authors, journals and papers are identified to track the main framework of portfolio restructuring. Finally, the main forerunners of this study area are corporate strategy, divestitures, diversification and corporate governance. This is a study that contributes not only to the field of strategic management but also to information management.

In Brazil, research in finance began about 60 years ago, however, few studies analyzed this production and, in doing so, properly appropriated bibliometric laws and principles. The present research investigates the level of productivity of researchers in the Brazilian literature of Finance applying Lotka’s Law by direct and complete counting. In the corpus of the study, composed of 873 digital articles, published in 24 well-known national journals between 2005 and 2014, it was verified that the productivity of the researchers, when done by the complete count (n=-2.23), was superior to the direct count (n=-2.89), indicating a favorable effect of production under a collaboration regime.

Purpose: This study observed the trajectory of the research in international accounting through the survey of articles published on the topic International Accounting in the years 2000 to 2017 in the main accounting journals published in English, In order to analyze the evolution of scientific production published in these journals. Methodology: For this, a survey of the bibliometric aspects of articles on the subject was carried out, using Lotka’s law to analyze the productivity of the authors in the area. Results: The results indicated the International Journal of Accounting as the periodical with the highest publication in the area, having the year 2012 as the most productive in publications in this subject. We found 233 articles, 473 authors per complete count and 557 participations, and 85.20% of the authors contributed with only one article, a massive participation of authors of American nationality was also found and the Most researched American universities on the subject, the University of Southern California being the most profitable. The Bibliometric analysis, from the model of the generalized inverse power, indicated adjustment to the Lotka law, with the C = 0,9256; At 0.01 significance level, it was found that the critical value was 0.07495, with a dmax = -0.07362; However, the slope expressed by the parameter n = -4.03. Concluding, thus, that even going against the theory proposed in the law of Lotka, for the theme international accounting, values are higher than suggested by the aforementioned law. Contributions of the Study: The findings of this research contribute to emphasize that accounting science progresses with the effort of the small collaborations of different researchers, reveal trends of research in international accounting and fosters the debate on the use of the law of Lotka as an instrument for predicting the productivity of authors.

In this research, the theoretical bases and the articles most cited in studies on corporate governance were investigated through bibliometric mapping using the software VOSviewer. The sample made up of 2,965 articles was obtained through Web of Science database. The analysis period from 2000 to 2018, was subdivided into three subperiods due to the occurrence of financial events in the United States, and the need for improvements in corporate governance practices was evidenced. It is believed that the improvement of corporate governance practices is the result of the emergence of new proposals presented in the investigated literature, characterizing the relevance of this research. This study contributes to the literature in Finance by presenting the foundations of research on corporate governance through bibliometric mapping and can assist future research by outlining the theoretical bases used after the reported financial stress events. The evidence suggests the predominance of the Agency Theory in the analyzed periods. However, the Property Structure Theory, Stakeholder Theory, Stewardship Theory and Resource Dependency Theory were also observed, which could be associated with the financial events that occurred.

An efficient highway infrastructure network is a determining factor in promoting the socio-economic development of countries and regions. Highway planning activities are highly important because their results ensure that projects are delivered within budget, schedule, and scope. Therefore, academics and professionals have promoted various methodological and technological advances focused on improving highway planning processes, evidenced by many scientific documents that address the topic. Despite progress, few studies have focused on analyzing the state of the knowledge structure and the technological and methodological trends of the highway planning topic. Considering this gap, this study presents trends in highway planning and its knowledge structure based on a bibliometric analysis from January 2015 to September 2021. The research method is based on a bibliometric analysis composed of five main stages: (1) scope definition, (2) selection of bibliometric analysis techniques, (3) data collection, (4) bibliometric analysis execution, and (5) evidence analysis and synthesis. Information from 1703 journal papers was collected and analyzed. The findings show that the main trends of highway planning focus on life cycle analysis, computational tools, smart cities, sustainability issues, construction processes, new equipment and materials, and multi-objective optimization, among others. Thus, the findings of this study allow the reader to identify the methodological and technological trends in highway planning and their knowledge gaps to guide future studies in the field.

Marketing researchers have the responsibility to promote their field of study, developing models and tools, and suggesting best practices that favour marketing practitioners as well. In this sense, both current practices and consumer behavior are investigated. However, consumer behavior should not be seen as a whole on itself. Based on this issue, we investigated the publication in marketing in Brazil. Through a desk research using bibliometric analysis techniques over 520 journal issues and 28 conference proceedings were analyzed. In order to evaluate the evolution of the publication in marketing, we selected the two oldest management journals (RAUSP of FEA/USP and RAE of EAESP/FGV) and the three main national events in the area (SEMEAD, EnANPAD and EMA). Papers published between 1947 and 1976 in RAUSP were analyzed in printed editions. The others were obtained through the website of the events and of the journals. In all, 2,715 marketing articles were identified. We noticed that there is a growing concentration of studies on consumer behavior. Other authors point to this situation, stressing that excessive focus on consumer behavior might reduce studies on strategy and decision making. Thus, the results suggest that marketing scholars rethink the scope of the field and their research activities, strengthening more applied studies to the reality of managers.
