In this study, we explored the production of qualitative nursing research in program repositories evaluated by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel in Brazil, with concepts six and seven. We utilized a bibliometric study in which we considered Brazilian theses and dissertations with qualitative methodology published in 2018 and 2019 with qualitative methodology. In the 100 papers, 79 theses, and 13 dissertations, we identified that the types of studies that stood out were phenomenology, the wording of the objectives predominantly used the verbs “understand,” and “analyze,” and the instruments and techniques used were semi-structured interviews which present the analysis technique of the author Bardin, highlighting publications on public health. We conclude that our study evidences the importance of using a qualitative approach in nursing and emphasizes the need to pay attention to the theoretical framework, as well as analysis aspects adopted in different types of qualitative studies.

The last decades adaptivity has become an increasingly popular feature within the technological arena and academic publications related to this subject appear more frequently. This article reviews the research on adaptivity in both, technological and broader academic arena, by conducting a bibliometric review of the available academic literature related to the subject. By using bibliometric indexes the results found here can be replicated, complemented and extended in a systematic way, incrementing its utility. The study examines the growth pattern of research in adaptivity, and identifies its top areas; types of publications; and contributing countries and organizations. The review also revealed the value for some of the parameters needed to develop more specialized analysis in adaptivity, such as: scope, timespan, search space and databases. Finally, we propose several analysis to be performed in future works to complement the previous results. This work is, to our knowledge, the first bibliometric review conducted for the subject matter of adaptive behavior.

This paper describes the results of a research in the scientific literature related to the Management of Urban Solid Waste, published in the annals of four relevant Brazilian conferences in the area of Business Administration: ANPAD Meeting (ENANPAD), International Meeting on Management and Environment (ENGEMA), Seminars in Administration (SE-MEAD) and Symposium on Administration, Logistics and International Operations (SIMPOI). The data collection considered the period from 2011 to 2016, which reflects the conduct adjustment to meet the requirements of Law No. 12.305 / 2010, as proposed by the National Solid Waste Policy. The research was carried out through an empirical-analytical study, with application of bibliometric techniques that identified, in the annals of the events, 447 articles referring to Environmental Management and solid waste produced in the municipalities. Of these, 331 (73.5%) referred specifically to solid waste management and were used as a documentary sample for this article. As a result of the analysis of the present study, 45 elements were identified in the management of solid urban waste. These elements were classified into four categories of analysis: Waste Collector Cooperatives, Reverse Logic, National Solid Waste and Waste Policy. Among the conclusions we reached with the content analyzes, we can list: a gradual increase in the discussion on Urban Solid Waste Management in Brazil, since the Law was edited and implemented, which indicates a tendency of the theme to become more explored in the scope national level of academic production, considering its importance in the international environmental debate; observation of ENGEMA as an event that concentrates the highest percentage of Urban Solid Waste Management, reaching 65.86% of the articles published in the theme; in terms of author’s affiliation, there is a predominance of researchers from federal universities located in the South and Northeast regions of Brazil; through the articles, the existence of successful recycling practices, reverse logistics and selective collection.

Scientific journals constitute the main channels of the dissemination of scientific knowledge. For this reason, in recent years, the amount of bibliometric studies aiming to elucidate the main features of published articles has increased. This allows for the understanding of investigated topics, contribution and collaboration among authors, institutions and countries involved, as well as the identification of new trends of research. In the field of psychology, the journals with the greatest impact are edited and managed in Anglo-American and Western European countries. Within the Latin American context however, there are also significant editorial efforts to publish relevant articles as in the case of Interdisciplinaria: Revista de Psicologia y Ciencias Afines, considered a mainstream scientific journal that is indexed in important bibliographic databases (Scopus, WoS-Scielo Citation Index, Scielo) which have maintained the journal’s validity for more than 35 years. The importance of Interdisciplinaria motivates novel research into the characteristics of the scientific articles it publishes. Therefore, this study carries out a bibliometric analysis of Interdisciplinaria, considering the publications indexed in the bibliographic database Scopus (2009-2017). First the history, current status of the journal, and the importance of the bibliometric studies are presented. Then, the process of identification, selection and registration of scientific articles published and indexed in Scopus is formally addressed. From a final sample of 173 articles, the documents were broken down according to the authors’ gender and the language of the publication. Moreover, the compliance with Lotka’s Law on the scientific production of the authors was evaluated. Also, the collaboration rates (Lawani, 1981, 1986; Subramanyam, 1983) were estimated and the collaborative relationships among countries of the authors’ affiliations were displayed. Hence, the sampled works were categorized according to thematic areas and research methodologies. The results reveal a greater presence of women than men, both in the first authorship and in the total authors. Thus the author distribution complies with Lotka’s Law. In particular, it is noted that few authors have the highest number of contributions, while many authors have the least number of contributions. With regard to collaborative work, a substantial increase appeared in the last two triennia (2012-2014 and 2015-2017). This is evident by computing the values of the Lawani and Subramanyam rates. Furthermore, the works are concentrated in areas such as educational psychology, methodology, and psychometry among others (e.g. neuropsychology, comparative psychology, environmental psychology). Finally, it was noted that contributions on quantitative methodology predominated, followed by theoretical studies. The analysis and discussion of the results allow Interdisciplinaria to be used as a reference in the communication of scientific knowledge in Latin America countries, concluding that its denomination as a journal of psychology and related sciences is fairly attributed, since it publishes studies from different fields, a number of which show the connection between psychology and other disciplines.

Background: This study presents a bibliometric analysis of Psicothema as a commemoration for its 30 years of publishing (1989-2018). Methods: A year-, sex-, and publication language-based analysis of the journal’s characteristics was carried out based on the sample of 2,396 publications. Based on that data, Lotka’s law was assessed, Lawani and Subramanyam indices and cooperation networks were estimated, the Pratt index was calculated, the concentration of papers according to thematic areas and research methods was described, and citations and impact indicators were obtained according to the original articles indexed in Web of Science (1993-2018). Results: The results indicated greater participation by male authors, increased publication in English, compliance with Lotka’s law, and a greater inter-institutional contribution in recent decades. There was a higher percentage of methodology/psychometrics-related work, and most of these publications used quantitative methods. The impact factor and the amount of citations reached its peak in 2018. Conclusion: The characteristics of Psicothema, which is a model of scientific communication of psychology in the international context, are discussed in this study.

The objective of this research was to map the international scientific production on digital entrepreneurship. To achieve this purpose, exploratory, descriptive and bibliometric research was conducted, with a quantitative approach. The measurement of scientific production was based on the three classic laws of bibliometry: Bradford’s Law, Zipf s Law and Lotka’s Law. The study followed the steps defined by Sousa, Fontenele, Silva and Filho (2019) for conducting bibliometric research, namely: selection of the database and bibliometric software, definition of the sample, survey of the sample, tabulation and treatment of descriptive data, and data analysis. The data were collected in the Web Of Science database and tabulated in the Excel software. To analyze the bibliometric networks of co-occurrence of keywords and citation (authors and journals), the VOS Viewer software was used. This study shows in general the main thematic currents explored in the international scenario on digital entrepreneurship: Digital Transformation, Strategy, Data Science and Digital Innovation. It also signals other aspects related to the construct, offering a theoretical support for other research, especially to broaden the field of knowledge on the subject analyzed.
