Bibliometric analysis of the articles published in the journal Contabilidady Negocios in the period 2006-2019

Resumen

It is important to take knowledge of the progress and level of scientific production of a discipline, so the review of articles published in scientific journals constitutes a relevant source for this analysis. Thus, in this article, research was conducted regarding of the works published in the Accounting and Business Magazine of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru in the period 2006 to 2019, through bibliometric research. The research has a descriptive, longitudinal and retrospective design, applied to the 28 issues published in 14 volumes, through the analysis of the categories defined in the methodology, which were accessed from the journal’s website. As main results, it was observed that the topics of greatest preference for the authors are located in the areas of administration, Financial Accounting, Finance and Management Accounting. Likewise, it is observed that most of the articles are descriptive and most of them correspond to authors with a different affiliation to the institution that publishes the magazine, with a high participation of male authors.
